Angling in Arunachal   
 

 

Visit Arunachal for a relaxed holiday. We offer you a well designed tour in Arunachal Pradesh with a special focus on angling. You will be provided a tended accommodation near the angling spot so that you can enjoy the sport more-conveniently.

Day 01 :: Arrive Delhi / Calcutta and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02 :: Delhi / Calcutta to Guwahati and transfer to hotel. Post lunch local sight-seeing in and around the city.

Day 03 :: Guwahati / Bhalukpong - After breakfast drive to Bhalukpong (250 kms), check into hotel or tented accommodation near the angling spot.

Day 04 :: Bhalukpong - Whole day angling at Bhalukpong, Tipi, Sessa - 15 km stretch. Shore bank fishing may be availed.

Day 05 :: Bhalukpong - Whole day angling at Balukpong.

Day 06 :: Bhalukpong / Itanagar - After breakfast drive to Itanagar (220 kms). Overnight in hotel.

Day 07 :: Itanagar / Pasighat. After breakfast drive to Pasighat (300 kms). Overnight stay at Circuit house / Hotel.

Day 08 :: Pasighat / Pangin - Early in the morning drive for Boleng - Pangin and check into the Inspection Bungalow / Tented accommodation near the Angling spot. Overnight at Pangin.

Day 09 :: Pangin/ Boleng/ Yembung - Whole day angling at Boleng - Pagin - Yembung (45 km. Stretch). Overnight stay at Yembung.

Day 10 :: Yembung/ Pasighat / Dibrugarh - Early morning drive to Pasighat. Brahmaputra river crossing by ferry and arrive at Dibrugarh. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11 :: Dibrugarh : After breakfast transfer to Airport for flight to Delhi/Calcutta.

Angling in the Himalayan foothills 4 days

Day 01 : Arrive Guwahati and assist by the Guide from Gibbon Travels. Drive straight to Eco-camp near Tezpur, 5 hrs.Check in at camp site. Evening orientation talk on DO’s and Don’ts on how to safeguard environment during our visit. Welcome dinner by candle light. Overnight.

Day 02 : After morning tea transfer by non air-conditioned car/van to Bhalukpong,the embarkation point which is 45 km from the camp site. After b/fast at Bhalukpong, float downstream on inflated rubber boats and fish along the way. You will be accompanied be experienced anglers and boatmen. Packed lunch will be served on the way. Anglers will disembark at camp site in the evening. Rest of the evening free. Dinner will be around campfire.

Day 03 : Those interested can take another full day of angling. Or you could visit Nameri National Park. Take nature walk through the park. Or on a jungle safari on elephant back. Return to camp for breakfast. Afternoon visit, relax or take a boat ride. Evening sit around campfire. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 04 : Afternoon we drive to Guwahati via Tezpur to catch flight.

Fishing and Angling

Fishing & Angling is a very enjoyable sport, if one has lots of patience and time in hand. Fishing & Angling is a eco-friendly sport, but at the same time very time consuming. With numerous rivers, streams in the state, there are numerous opportunities available for anglers to opt for Fishing and Angling. Hardly any anglers round the world have any idea that India makes a wonderful paradise for anglers. Angling & fishing is quiet an easy sport for even a beginner because most of major Indian cities lie along rivers, that's why these cities become a favourite fishing spot for most of the anglers.

Fishing and Angling in Arunachal Pradesh:

Angling & Fishing in Arunachal Pradesh India offers lots of opportunities for angling and fishing lovers.

The abundance of water and the simplicity of the sport has helped the sport to grow in Arunachal Pradesh India. Arunachal Pradesh offers numerous possibilities to catch fish especially trout and Mahseer.

Arunachal Pradesh, Pasighat has a lot of places like Yingkiong, Bodak, Siom, etc., that provide good spots for Fishing & Angling. The Mahseer being a favourite among angles, getting a 20-30 kg over here is not uncommon. The colder waters of the higher reaches of Arunachal have the golden and the rainbow trout and anglers caneasily enjoy the traditional but effective methods of fishing while trekking in the jungles of Arunachal in India. Arunachal Pradesh is also one of the best places to go for Fishing & Angling in the east. The state is bisected by the Lohit River and a number of smaller streams, all of which offer plenty of opportunity for reeling in some of the biggest fish you’re likely to catch. Try Tezu, on the Lohit, or Tipi and Bhalukpong (on the Bhoroli river), and Pashighat (on the Siang River).

Trout fishing is possible at many locations, Bhalukpong and Tipi on the river Kameng, Pasighat on the river Siang, and Tezu on the river Lohit.
